Atlas Weathering Services Group has opened new weathering sites in Kentucky and Jacksonville, FL.

Atlas Weathering Services Group, Chicago, which operates South Florida Test Service and DSET Laboratories, has opened new weathering sites in Kentucky and Jacksonville, FL, and has expanded its Everglades Test Site in South Florida. The company said the Jacksonville site offers a combination of conditions that result in an “acid-etch environment,” due to the presence of industrial pollution, salt atmosphere, and heat and humidity. The Kentucky site is located in a remote area and meets the conditions of a temperate northern climate of hot, humid summers and winters with multiple freeze-thaw cycles, the company said.
