Dover Chemical announced the start of production of calcium stearate and zinc stearate at a new manufacturing plant.

Dover Chemical Corp., Dover, OH, announced the start of production of calcium stearate and zinc stearate at a new manufacturing plant at the company’s headquarters site. Calcium stearates are used as viscosity modifiers, and both calcium and zinc stearates are used as flatting agents and suspension agents in paint, varnishes and lacquers, the company said. Dover also is a supplier of pH controllers, flame retardants, plasticizers, hardening agents, antioxidants and UV stabilizers.
