GREENWICH, CT - CK Witco Corp. announced a definitive agreement for the sale of its global textile colors business and its European industrial colors business to Yorkshire Group Plc for $86.5 million. Yorkshire Group is a producer of dyestuffs based in Leeds, UK.

CK Witco will retain its Industrial Colors business in the Americas, which produces and markets dyes used in specialty papers, ink and coatings, leather, and plastic parts and films. The company said the sale is a "first step in restructuring the portfolio of CK Witco businesses for growth and enhanced shareholder value."
