PITTSBURGH - PPG Industries Inc. announced the launch of OneSource Coatings (www.onesourcecoatings.com), a Web site that offers online shopping and services for industrial-coatings users.
"This business launch expands our capabilities to provide fast service and flexible manufacturing to be responsive to the needs of smaller industrial customers," said PPG Executive Vice President Kears Pollock.
The business provides two-business-day delivery of small-volume, custom color products within an eight-state Midwestern region that includes Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. The regional launch will be followed by a nationwide roll-out sometime this year, the company said. The site allows customers to order online and to obtain a variety of other information, such as technical data sheets, MSDSs, training materials, and links to relevant environmental regulations, the company said.
