MUNICH, Germany - Wacker Chemie GmbH announced an agreement to sell its ADDID surface coating additives business to Degussa AG's Oligomers & Silicones business unit. Terms were not disclosed.

Degussa's Tego Coating & Ink Additives business assumed exclusive worldwide brand and distribution rights to the ADDID additives business, effective Oct. 1. The products will be marketed under the Tego ADDID brand name.

The ADDID additives line consists of silicone-based products designed to control foam and surface properties, produce hammer-tone effects and improve adhesion.
