Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, Hunt Valley, MD, announced plans to invest $31 million to upgrade the company’s ilmenite mine in Paraiba, Brazil, a move the company said will improve operating efficiencies and reduce operating costs. The mine supplies raw material for the production of titanium dioxide. Work related to the upgrade was scheduled to begin in March, with completion expected by December 2001.
