DANBURY, CT - Union Carbide Corp. said its shareholders have voted overwhelmingly to approve the company's merger with The Dow Chemical Co. The company also said it has submitted filings with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the European Commission and other regulatory authorities, with completion of the merger expected to occur following reviews by those agencies.
