CAMBRIDGE, MA - California Products Corp., a specialty architectural coatings manufacturer, has started construction of a new corporate office, manufacturing and distribution facility in Andover/ Tewksbury, MA, with completion expected in July. The 70-year-old company will relocate and consolidate its operations currently located in Cambridge and Norwood, MA, in the new 167,000 square-foot complex. The facility will include 28,816 square feet of office space, a 70,000-square-foot manufacturing area and 70,000 square feet of distribution space.

"The move is very exciting and represents a great opportunity not only for us, but for our dealers and distributors," said company President Joseph Junkin. The facility will provide the company with a central location with access to several major interstate highways, and a computerized tracking system will improve inventory control and QC functions, Junkin said.

California Products, established in 1926, manufactures a number of specialty architectural products, including paint, multicolor coatings, acrylic tennis surface materials, and lead- and asbestos-encapsulation materials.
