WAYNE, N.J. - International Specialty Products Inc. (ISP), Wayne, N.J., through one of its subsidiaries, has acquired the business of French biocides manufacturer Progiven S.A.S.

Established in 1946, Progiven is today recognized as a leading formulator of biocides for a diverse range of industrial applications including paints and coatings, glues and adhesives.

Sunil Kumar, ISP's president and chief executive officer, commenting on the acquisition, stated, "With its world-class technical capabilities, Progiven will accelerate the growth of ISP's industrial biocide franchise in Europe and around the world."
