The association also said the program has been revised to reflect publication of a new federal form for reporting occupational injuries and illness.
The NPCA Safety Award Program recognizes outstanding achievements in plant-safety performance, with the "Safety Award of Excellence," the program's top honor, presented to facilities that have established five years of zero lost workday cases. The NPCA also announced the opening of the Safety Award Program to all association members. The deadline to submit data is Aug. 31.
The Safety Awards will be presented at the NPCA's Annual Meeting, scheduled for Oct. 24-26 in Chicago.
