PRA Conference to Focus on Compliance, Environmental Issues
TEDDINGTON, U.K. — The Paint Research Association (PRA) of the United Kingdom announced plans for the association’s 18th International Conference, “Coatings, Compliance, Community and Care,” scheduled for Nov. 12-14 in Brussels.
The conference, to be organized in association with the European Confederation of Paint, Printing Ink and Artists’ Colours Manufacturers’ Associations (CEPE), will focus on a wide range of environmental, health and safety, manufacturing, and other issues, PRA said. Specific topics will include: air, water and land pollution control; biodegradation; closed-loop recycling; compliant coatings (waterborne, high solids, radiation-cure, powder, hybrid: powder/radcure, water/radcure); labeling; VOC reduction; waste-paint disposal and recycling; eco-labeling; effluent treatment; environmental liability; and environmental-impact assessment.
