Diamond Vogel said it would consolidate the Minneapolis-based business with its existing facility there, and will continue manufacturing operations at the Tulsa site.
Drew Vogel, president and CEO of Diamond Vogel Paint, said the acquisition will expand the geographic reach of the company's industrial liquid and powder-coatings business. Cal Henning, president of Davis-Frost, said the sale will allow the company to better focus on its industrial and retail businesses in the eastern United States and its structural-steel and railcar markets across North America.
The companies said David Boie, executive vice president of Davis Frost, will join Diamond Vogel as a Corporate Accounts manager.
Diamond Vogel, founded in 1926, is a manufacturer of industrial and architectural coatings, and supplies customers in a 25-state region of the central United States.
