Bayer Polymers L.L.C., Pittsburgh, announced a major expansion of the business’s Americas Technical Center in Pittsburgh. The expansion includes the addition of a new environmental-testing chamber, weathering lab and other research capabilities for the development of coatings, plastics and polyurethane materials, the company said. The expansion also reflects a consolidation program designed to centralize various technical functions at the Pittsburgh Technical Center. Bayer Polymers was launched on Jan. 1 as one of four new independent Bayer companies.
