Columbian Chemicals acquired the remaining 40% stake in its carbon-black manufacturing facility in Hungary.
ATLANTA — Columbian Chemicals Co. acquired the remaining 40% stake in its carbon-black manufacturing facility in Hungary from joint-venture partner Tiszai Vegyi Kombinat Rt. Columbian built the plant in 1993, and the company said the facility is the newest carbon-black production plant in Europe. Columbian also operates carbon-black plants in the United States, Brazil, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Spain.
