HICKORY, NC -- Chemical Coatings Inc., a unit of RPM International Inc., announced an agreement with Berlin Scientific of China to manufacture and distribute Chemical Coatings’ finishing products to furniture manufacturers in China.

Chemical Coatings, based in Hickory, NC, is part of RPM’s Wood Finishes Group. Gary Shore, Chemical Coatings vice president and general manager, said the agreement gives the company the capability to supply wood-finishing products to customers in China that are equivalent to materials offered by the company in the U.S. market.

Chemical Coatings said Berlin Scientific has been producing coatings for more than 20 years, and recently completed construction of new manufacturing facilities in China’s Guangdong province.
