ST. LOUIS - Solutia Inc. has completed the sale of its Resins, Additives and Adhesives business to UCB S.A. for $500 million in cash. The acquisition includes Solutia's liquid and powder-coatings resins, technical resins, additives and adhesives products. The purchase also includes the former Vianova Resins and Additives business.

UCB's existing chemical business is a supplier of radiation-cure resins and powder-coatings resins, and also manufactures acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives and polyurethanes.
