Engineered Polymer Solutions and Color Corp. of America, both of which are units of The Valspar Corp., Minneapolis, announced a merger of their operations in a move the businesses said would improve efficiencies in their sales, marketing and technical functions.

Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) and Color Corp. of America, both of which are units of The Valspar Corp., Minneapolis, announced a merger of their operations in a move the businesses said would improve efficiencies in their sales, marketing and technical functions. The companies will retain their current names. The combined businesses also announced the appointment of D.B. Becker Co., Clinton, NJ, and Deeks & Co., Stone Mountain, GA, as exclusive distributors for resin and colorant product lines. D.B. Becker was named distributor in the northeastern United States, in a territory stretching from Maryland to Maine. Deeks was named distributor in the southeastern states, in a territory spanning Virginia to Florida. EPS is a supplier of water- and solventborne resins, including acrylics, styrene acrylics, PVAs, polyurethane dispersions, alkyds, VT alkyds, urethanes, polyesters, and solution acrylics. Color Corp. is a supplier of universal, in-plant and zero-VOC colorants for architectural and industrial coatings.
