SEOUL, South Korea — The Dow Chemical Co. has acquired 80% of Pacific Epoxy Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of converted epoxy resins in the Republic of Korea, from Saehan Industries Inc. Saehan Industries retains 20% of the joint-venture company.

Pacific Epoxy Co. Ltd. currently produces approximately 12,000 metric tons of converted epoxy resins annually at its existing epoxy resin production facility in Kumi, South Korea. The company manufactures several types of resins, including brominated, solid and solid-solution resins used in protective coatings, electronics and specialties.
