Degussa-Hüls AG, Frankfurt, Germany, announced it has started construction of an industrial carbon-black production plant in Paulinia, Brazil, near Sao Paulo. The plant, with an annual production capacity of approximately 60,000 metric tons annually, will primarily serve the rubber market, the company said.
