READING, PA — The Lightnin Division of SPX Corp. has acquired Premier Mill Corp., a supplier of mixers, blenders and other processing equipment. Premier Mill will continue to operate with its existing work force, led by General Manager Myron Segal, and will remain headquartered in Reading, PA.

The companies said Premier Mill’s product line represents a “strong complement” to the line of milling, blending and mixing equipment offered by Lightnin’s Cox’s Machinery unit, located in the United Kingdom.

Lightnin, based in Rochester, NY, is a manufacturer of industrial fluid mixers. The company said the acquisition of Premier Mill marks a key step in its expansion strategy targeting the worldwide chemical, coatings and ink industries.
