Eastman Chemical Co., Kingsport, TN, announced that its Lawter International Inc. subsidiary was renamed Eastman Resins Inc. No other changes in the business or its management will occur, Eastman said. The name change is designed to give the company a consistent identity worldwide, the company said, adding that the Lawter brand name will remain in use. Eastman acquired Lawter in June 1999.
