DEARBORN, MI - The American Chemical Society's Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE) has issued an invitation for nominations for the Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings, which recognizes "outstanding individual achievements and noteworthy contributions to coatings science, technology, and engineering." The $2,000 award will be presented at the American Chemical Society meeting scheduled for Sept. 7-11, 2003, in New York.

Nominations can be submitted for individuals in industry, academia and government, and should be sent to David R. Bauer, Tess Award chairman, at Ford Motor Co., Research Laboratory-MD3182, P.O. Box 2053, Dearborn, MI 48121. A documentation form will be sent to the individual submitting the nomination requesting information on the nominee's publications, patents, overall qualifications, and other information.

The deadline for nominations is Sept. 1, 2002, although nominations submitted after that date will be considered for the following year's award.
