CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Society for Coatings Technology announced preliminary plans for the 48th annual Technical Symposium of the Cleveland and Pittsburgh Societies for Coatings Technology, scheduled for May 2005.

The symposium, titled "Waterborne & Innovative Coatings: Sink or Swim 2005," is scheduled for May 24-25, 2005, at a new location, the Crown Plaza Akron at Historic Quaker Square.

The Cleveland society is inviting submission of papers on a variety of coatings-technology topics, with abstracts due by Oct. 15 and completed papers due on Feb. 1, 2005.

In addition to presentations on waterborne coatings, the symposium will include papers on powder, UV-cure, high-solids and novel solventborne coatings.
