DENVER - Professional Paint Inc. has acquired, through a wholly owned subsidiary, the operating assets of Duckback Products Inc., a manufacturer of wood and concrete stains based in Chico, CA. Duckback Products distributes products nationwide in the United States and Canada.

Kent Child, CEO of Professional Paint, said the acquisition "provides PPI with access to a proven distribution channel and diversifies our customer base." He said the business would operate as a "stand-alone" division and would seek to introduce new specialty DIY products.

Professional Paint Inc. is a privately held company that operates a group of regional paint companies in the western United States and Canada.
