MORRISTOWN, NJ — AlliedSignal Inc. and Honeywell Inc. jointly reported that both companies have received a request for additional information about their proposed merger from the U.S. Department of Justice. The companies’ announcement gave no details about the information request, saying only that they “intend to cooperate fully … and comply with the request for additional information.” The companies anticipate that the merger will be completed this fall.
