SCHENECTADY, NY - Schenectady International Inc. has acquired DSM Coating Resins Europe B.V.'s phenolic resin product line, which includes phenolic resins used for internal and external can-coating applications. Terms were not disclosed.

Schenectady International said its Bethune, France, facility has been producing the resins on a toll basis for DSM for the past several years. The company said the acquisition strengthens its position as a major phenolic-resin supplier to the coatings industry.
