NEW CASTLE, DE - TA Instruments Inc. announced plans to acquire the assets of the Rheology Division of Rheometric Scientific Inc., Piscataway, NJ. Completion of the transaction is anticipated in December, pending regulatory and stockholder approvals.

Rheometric Scientific is a supplier of rheometers, and TA Instruments is a supplier of thermal-analysis systems and rheometers. TA Instruments said it will eventually transfer production to its operations in New Castle, DE, with sales, service and support functions to be consolidated into a single organization.
