Chemir/Polytech Laboratories Inc., St. Louis, announced a name change to Chemir Analytical Services, a move the company said reflects increased sales and services, and an expanded technical staff. The company also said it was named one of the fastest-growing independent, privately held businesses in the St. Louis metropolitan area by the St. Louis Business Journal. Chemir Analytical Services recorded a 77.8% increase in annual revenue between 1991 and 2001, to $6 million. The company offers testing and analysis services for a variety of industries and materials, including coatings, ink and adhesives.
