PHILADELPHIA - Rohm and Haas Co. has named Luis Fernandez Sales and Marketing director, Coatings North American Region. He will manage sales and marketing activities for the company's architectural and functional coatings, graphic arts, and textile and nonwovens segments in North America.

Fernandez has held a series of positions with Rohm and Haas since joining the company 18 years ago, including management posts in the Building Products, Plastics, and Specialty Polymers units. He was named Worldwide Business manager for the company's Printing and Paper Technologies business in 2000.
