H.B. Fuller Co. has named Jim Conaty Group president, Global Adhesives, replacing Peter Koxholt, who is retiring due to illness. Conaty will assume responsibility for the company's global adhesives businesses, and will retain overall responsibility for the automotive business. He joined H.B. Fuller in 1985 and has held a variety of marketing, business-unit and operational management positions. John A. Feenan, chief financial officer at Minneapolis-based Jostens Inc., is joining H.B. Fuller as its new CFO. Feenan will succeed Raymond Tucker, who is retiring. Feenan was previously CFO at Foamex International and at Laporte plc's North American operations and its Adhesives, Sealants and Coatings division.

Ameron International Corp. has named R.S. "Rocky" Friedrich vice president, Research and Engineering, and Terrence P. O'Shea vice president, Human Resources. Friedrich joined Ameron in 1971 as a research and development engineer and has been involved in the development of product lines in virtually all business units. O'Shea joined Ameron in 1979 and was most recently Corporate director, Human Resources.

Rohm and Haas Co.'s board of directors elected Gail P. Granoff to the newly created position of chief Compliance and Governance officer. Granoff will provide guidance on compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission and New York Stock Exchange rules and regulations and other governance matters.

Debora L. Hense has joined Stonebridge Technical Services, a coatings testing and development company, as a consultant with responsibility for management of testing and development activities.

Akzo Nobel announced that S. Ishwar, managing director of Akzo Nobel Coatings India Private Ltd., has been named president of the Indian Paint Association. Akzo Nobel Coatings India Private Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Akzo Nobel NV, based in the Netherlands. The company produces powder coatings and liquid coatings for various industrial markets, including metal cans, appliances, automotive and components.

NL Industries Inc. announced that J. Landis Martin has resigned as president and CEO in order

to devote more of his time to the operations of

Titanium Metals Corp., where he is chairman, president and CEO. NL Industries Chairman Harold

Simmons will succeed Martin as CEO. NL Industries' Kronos business is a major global supplier of titanium dioxide pigments.

Michael O'Shaughnessy has joined Eliokem in the newly created position of Commercial director for U.S. Operations. O'Shaugnessy formerly held sales and marketing management positions with Alberdingk Boley Inc. and Vianova Resins Inc.

Chemcentral Corp. announced a new specialty chemicals sales initiative and said Philip A. Scafido, vice president and director of Sales, will focus on the company's specialty chemicals business. Jerry M. Williams, formerly vice president of Business Development and Information Technology, was named to the new position of vice president Corporate Business and Account Development.

RPM International Inc.'s Dryvit Systems Inc. business named Steve Wachtler president of Dryvit Systems Europe. Wachtler has held a variety of senior-management positions with Dryvit since joining the company in 1989, and was most recently vice president of Marketing. Dryvit Systems also named Anthony "Tony" Stall vice president of Marketing, R. Michael Murphy National Sales manager and Bob Waltersdorf Regional Sales manager for the Northeast.
