FALL RIVER, MA — European Colour plc of the UK has acquired Roma Color, a pigment supplier based in Fall River, MA, in a transaction that Roma Color said unites two small pigment companies to create a mid-sized company with a presence in the major pigment markets of NAFTA, Europe and Asia.

European Colour, based in Stockport, England, is the holding company for a group of specialty chemicals businesses including European Colour (Pigments) Ltd., and Tor Coatings Ltd., a producer of specialty coatings.
