TORONTO - HALOX, a worldwide supplier of non-toxic corrosion and tannin stain inhibitors to the paint and coatings industry, is expanding its existing distribution agreement with the Dempsey Corp. to include all of Canada. Dempsey has represented HALOX in the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec and the Maritime in Canada since January 1, 1989.

HALOX has also announced the addition of Dowd and Guild Industries, Inc., to its family of distributors. Dowd and Guild, headquartered in San Ramon, Calif., is a leading distributor of chemical specialties for paint and coating applications in the Western United States with sales offices and warehouse facilities in both San Ramon and Cerritos, Calif., and Tukwila, Wash. Dowd and Guild also has warehouse facilities in Portland, Ore., and Phoenix. As of July 1, 2005, Dowd and Guild has represented the HALOX line in Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
