Unimin Corp., New Canaan, CT, announced plans to expand production capacity for micronized nepheline syenite used in architectural and industrial coatings applications. The expansion, at the company's Nephton and Blue Mountain, Ontario, processing plants, will increase capacity by 30% and is scheduled to go into operation in the first quarter of 2003. Additional production expansions are planned for 2004, the company said.
