Avecia, Manchester, United Kingdom, announced the completion of a major upgrade to its PROXEL preservatives production plant in Huddersfield, United Kingdom, where the company manufactures the 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) component for a range of in-can preservatives used in paints and synthetic polymer emulsions. The company said the upgrade reflects recent and planned additions to the PROXEL product line.
