Cuprinol, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of wood-care products, is achieving consistently high quality control standards on its range of wood stains and water-based garden products following the installation of six high-performance, self-cleaning Eco Filters supplied by Russell Finex.

Improving Product Quality

At all stages of production, the highest quality control standards are paramount in order to ensure that customers receive a recognized and consistently high-quality finished product. To achieve these standards, Cuprinol has installed Russell self-cleaning Eco Filters on six filling lines to remove any impurities from the product prior to canning. The filters are in operation 16 hours a day and deliver measurable benefits in terms of increased processing efficiency and productivity.

According to Cuprinol's Engineering Manager Bill Andrews, "Giving our customers a consistently high-quality product is paramount for Cuprinol, and the new Eco Filters are vital in helping us to achieve consistent filtration quality."

The Eco Filter's unique, self-cleaning, 316 stainless steel filter element operates on a flow-through principle, eliminating dead spots, facilitating high-volume production and minimizing product loss.

Another important benefit of the Eco Filter is its fully enclosed design, which helps Cuprinol meet stringent health and safety standards, protecting the product from airborne and other contamination, and keeping the processing area clean and hygienic, thus safeguarding operator health.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

Continues Andrews, "We have used other brands of filter, but Russell's Eco range offers better performance and quality, and also reduces waste. They are simple to use, easy to clean and maintain, and operate virtually automatically. And because the filter element lasts much longer than in conventional filters, parts are replaced less frequently, reducing downtime and producing further cost savings."

Easy to install and maintain, Eco self-cleaning filters are also compact, fitting neatly into existing production lines, and are quiet in operation.

The filter range has seven different models to meet customers' specific capacity requirements and filtration needs.
