GenCorp Completes Acquisition of Morton Unit
GenCorp has completed the acquisition of Morton International Inc.’s latex floor-care business.
FAIRLAWN, OH — GenCorp, a diversified chemicals and building-products manufacturer, has completed the acquisition of Morton International Inc.’s latex floor-care business. GenCorp said production of Morton’s styrene acrylic polymers, wax emulsions and related additives for the floor-care market will be transferred to its plants in Massachusetts, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Morton is selling the business in response to issues raised by trade regulators regarding its pending merger with Rohm and Haas Co.
