Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes, Sassenheim, The Netherlands, has received the required health and safety approvals to begin the sale of its Sikkens and other auto-refinish products in Russia. The company said the approvals provide a major opportunity to expand sales in Russia and Eastern Europe. Akzo Nobel also said it has been named a “recommended paint partner” for Honda auto dealerships throughout Europe, a designation the company said is based on its ability to deliver consistent product technology, technical support, and training and development services. The agreement involves the supply of Sikkens refinish products and services in 19 European countries.
