Holcim announced the designated executive leadership team for Amrize, the company’s planned North American spin-off. The appointments mark a key step in the transition to Amrize becoming an independent, publicly traded building solutions provider focused exclusively on the North American market.
Among the appointments is Jake Gosa, who will serve as president of the Building Envelope division. With nearly three decades of leadership in the building industry, Gosa brings deep expertise across the entire building products value chain—from manufacturing to distribution. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Beacon Building Products, where he held a series of leadership roles over nearly 20 years. His earlier experience includes key roles at the former Elk Building Products Corp., now known as GAF Roofing. Gosa is expected to help propel Building Envelope and its portfolio of industry-leading brands into its next phase of strategic growth.
“I’m thrilled to join this team and honored to lead Building Envelope as we work together toward our bright future, defined by innovation, high performance, and an unwavering focus on our customers,” Gosa said. “We will continue our commitment to delivering the exceptional service and partnership our customers expect, across our comprehensive portfolio of building envelope solutions. Together, we are building something truly special with Amrize.”
Jan Jenisch, chairman of Holcim, said, “Our world-class executive leadership team brings deep expertise and a proven track record of performance. Our leadership includes key Holcim executives who have driven our success, along with new leaders from top U.S. companies with strong North American market knowledge. Together, we will unlock value for all stakeholders and lead our next era of growth.”
The designated executive officers for Amrize include:
Jan Jenisch, chairman and CEO. Jenisch has served as chairman of Holcim since 2023 and was CEO from 2017 to 2024. He previously held the CEO role at Sika from 2012 to 2017.
Ian Johnston, chief financial officer. Johnston currently serves as CFO for Holcim North America and has led finance functions across the U.S. and Canada.
Jaime Hill, president of building materials. Hill is currently regional head of Holcim North America and previously led Holcim operations in Mexico and Colombia.
Jake Gosa, president of building envelope. Gosa previously served as EVP and CCO at Beacon Building Products and brings nearly 30 years of experience in the building industry. He succeeds Jamie Gentoso, who is pursuing opportunities outside the company.
Nollaig Forrest, chief marketing and corporate affairs officer. Forrest currently serves as Holcim’s chief sustainability officer and oversees corporate affairs and branding.
Steve Clark, chief people officer. Clark was formerly chief human resources officer at Gainwell Technologies, Vista Outdoor, and the H.J. Heinz Co.
Denise Singleton, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Singleton previously held general counsel roles at WestRock Co., IDEX Corp., and SunCoke Energy.
Sam Poletti, chief strategy and M&A officer. Poletti currently serves as Holcim’s global head of M&A and played a key role in the company’s North American expansion.
Mario Gross, chief supply chain officer. Gross is currently COO of Holcim Building Envelope and previously served as Holcim’s chief procurement officer.
Roald Brouwer, chief technology officer. Brouwer currently serves as Holcim’s group head of decarbonization and previously led energy transition technology efforts at Shell.
