BASF Coatings announced updates to its Refinity cloud-based platform, expanding digital business solutions for the automotive refinish industry. The latest features are designed to increase color matching speed, efficiency, and sustainability in body shops.
The new ScanR spectrophotometer delivers five measurements in 30 seconds and includes automatic VIN and license plate recognition, scratch detection, and access to the industry’s largest color database. The ImagePLUS feature enhances color visualization and reduces material waste by eliminating spray-outs through real-time comparisons and spectral curve analysis.
The updated Refinity platform integrates with Alfa CR4/6 automated mixing machines to complete up to six mixes simultaneously, streamlining workflow and minimizing waste.
“Refinity is set to enhance body shop performance in all areas,” said Chris Titmarsh, senior vice president automotive refinish coatings at BASF.
