Hexigone Inhibitors Ltd entered a strategic partnership with Alfaa Chem to supply its corrosion inhibitor technologies to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The collaboration targets coatings applications in construction, infrastructure maintenance and the oil and gas sector.

The partnership introduces Hexigone’s Intelli-ion technology, designed for use at low loadings alongside traditional inhibitors such as zinc phosphate. This approach reduces total inhibitor content, film thickness and, in some cases, eliminates the need for brush blasting during steel maintenance.

Founded in 2004, Alfaa Chem supplies raw materials across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and surrounding markets. The company serves a range of industries, including paints, coatings and adhesives.

The move aligns with growing demand for zinc-free and chromate-free coating systems in the region.
