PPG completed a large-scale interior makeover at Bury Hospice in the U.K., marking the 10-year anniversary of its Colorful Communities program. The project brought together more than 100 volunteers from PPG, Morelli Group, hospice staff and local residents.
The interior of the hospice was repainted using over 100 gallons of Johnstone’s Trade products, including Acrylic Durable Eggshell, Aqua Guard and Microbarr Anti Bacterial Acrylic Eggshell. The color scheme was selected from PPG’s Voice of Color palette and featured the 2025 Color of the Year, Acai Berry.
The project also included a mural designed by local artist Pocket Wren, chosen through a community contest. The mural incorporated regional and symbolic imagery intended to bring comfort and connection to patients and families.
PPG will expand the Colorful Communities program through 2035 and has pledged an additional $10 million in funding, bringing its total commitment to $25 million. As part of the celebration, the company will award $1 million in grants to 100 program partners globally.
