KTA-Tator Opens New Testing Facility in Pittsburgh

KTA-Tator Inc. announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art testing facility in Pittsburgh, located at 1506 Parkway View Dr. The facility expands KTA’s capacity to deliver mechanical, non-destructive, and destructive testing services across a wide range of industries.
The new site offers high-volume automated MT/PT lines, tensile and Charpy V-notch testing, bend and break testing, metallurgical evaluations, weld qualification testing, bolt and rail weld testing, hardness testing using multiple methods, and CWI consulting services. Additional offerings include calibration services, failure analysis, field pulls testing, and elevated structure inspections, such as cell tower assessments.
“Our new facility represents a significant investment in the future of KTA’s non-destructive and destructive testing and quality assurance services,” said Jim Kretzler, NDE department manager at KTA. “By expanding our capabilities with this dedicated facility, we can better serve our clients with more services, faster turnaround times, and the highest level of expertise.”
