GEW, a UK-based manufacturer of UV curing systems, announced the appointment of Jonathan Geiger as sales manager for Latin America. Geiger assumes the role immediately and will represent the company at Labelexpo Mexico in Guadalajara alongside the GEW team.

With more than 20 years of experience in the packaging industry, Geiger has held sales and technical roles across the Southern Cone of Latin America, including positions with AVT, Esko, and XRite’s Brazilian distributor, Coralis. He has led complex printing projects using gravure, offset, metal, and flexo processes across wide and narrow web applications.

“His in-depth experience and knowledge of all major customers and industry contacts across South America will be a great asset in further building this key market for GEW,” said Robert Rae, GEW managing director of sales. “Jonathan’s knowledge across a broad range of applications will assist us in promoting the diversity of our product range, beyond our core label and narrow web business.”

Geiger will be based in São Paulo, Brazil, and will work with GEW’s distributors and customers across Central and South America. Amir Dekel, vice president of sales at GEW Inc., will continue to serve customers in Mexico.

Geiger is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. He holds a degree in graphic arts from SENAI, a BSc in chemical engineering, and an MBA in printing industry management—all earned in Brazil.
