Dow announced that its Propylene Glycol (PG) manufacturing facility in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, has earned International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing circular and bio-circular solutions in the Asia Pacific region. The certification enables Dow to offer two new sustainable PG products, certified through mass balance:
- Propylene Glycol CIR, featuring Renuva™ recycled material, repurposes post-consumer and post-industrial waste into sustainable feedstocks.
- Propylene Glycol REN, using Ecolibrium™ bio-circular technology, reduces reliance on fossil fuel-based feedstocks.
“Achieving ISCC PLUS certification marks another significant milestone for the Map Ta Phut PG facility,” said Heidi Xu, Asia Pacific commercial director of Dow Polyurethane. “This certification empowers Dow to deliver verifiably circular or bio-circular solutions to customers in Asia Pacific, while still ensuring premium quality without compromise.”
Dow’s expanded sustainable PG portfolio serves diverse industries, including personal care, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, flavorings, and fragrances. The company’s investment in sustainability supports global efforts to drive a low-carbon, circular economy.
