BASF Coatings and NIO to Partner in Automotive Coatings

BASF Coatings and NIO have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to establish a strategic partnership focused on automotive exterior coatings for NIO’s electric vehicles. The agreement builds on a decade of collaboration between the companies and aims to enhance cooperation through joint development initiatives, technical support, and sustainability efforts.
The partnership framework includes annual strategic dialogues, facilitating discussions on market development, project management, and information exchange. BASF Coatings will provide NIO with a tailored portfolio of coatings solutions, including color design, digital solutions, workshops, and sustainability-driven innovations.
