PCI Names PPG Chemist to Editorial Advisory Board

Kalsani Venkateshwarlu, Ph.D., a chemist with PPG, has been named to Paint & Coatings Industry magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board. Over the past 17 years, Kalsani has been a technology and market innovation leader at PPG. Several of his innovations are first to the world, and have provided significant commercial success to PPG. He started as a bench chemist, and grew into leadership roles, managing innovation activities within the Industrial, Packaging and Protective & Marine global business units. For most of his career at PPG, Kalsani’s focus has been with polymer structure activity relationships, and he has also led formulation and project gatekeeper activities.
His skill sets cover several areas, such as polymer design and analysis, root cause analysis, laboratory establishment and formulation development. Kalsani has been involved with third party partnerships and acquisitions, and is a leader in front-end innovation activities. He has initiated several open innovation activities, collaborated with universities, start-ups and government-funded projects.
He holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, and a post doc in bio-organic chemistry before joining PPG.
Kalsani will be part of the group that reviews the abstracts submitted for the CTT Summit. PCI is thankful for his willingness to help, and looks forward to working with him on new ideas.
