INX International hosted an open house on February 27 to showcase its new flexographic and gravure manufacturing facility in Cabreuva, Brazil. Company executives, local officials, and representatives from parent company Sakata INX attended the event. The facility is located in Sao Paulo, the same state where INX built a metal decorating plant in 2018.
"We are very excited about expanding our presence in South America once again," said Bryce Kristo, INX president and CEO. "The Sao Paulo region is a large economic hub that allows us to service the Brazilian market and extend ourselves throughout the country. We are in the beginning stages of developing a campus environment that will be our flagship location in South America."
Construction of the 65,000-square-foot facility began in mid-2023 and marks the first phase of a master plan complex. The site sits on 20 acres and includes an 8,000-square-foot space housing INX’s Latin American corporate office. When fully operational, the facility is expected to employ 150 people and produce 2,000 tons of solvent-based ink per month for distribution across Brazil and South America.
“Our business is poised to play a significant role in the growth and development of this city,” said Guilherme Ribeiro, INX vice president of South American operations. “Cabreuva stands to benefit greatly from the prosperity we aim to bring, and the mayor is thrilled about this opportunity.”
A customer open house is planned for late March. The facility has been designed to accommodate future expansion to support additional product lines, including digital, metal decorating, and water-based inks.
