Nippon Paint India Reveals 2024 AYDA Award Winners

Nippon Paint India has announced the winners of the 2024 AYDA Awards, with Sanya Gupta and Yuktha K emerging as the top winners. The awards, which are part of the company's efforts to support and nurture young design talent, were held at VIT University in Vellore.
The AYDA Awards are focused on recognizing and supporting emerging talent in the fields of architecture and interior design. The awards are open to students from across India, and this year's event saw a strong focus on the theme of "CONVERGE" and the sub-theme of "GLOCAL DESIGN SOLUTIONS."
Sanya Gupta was named the Gold Winner in the Architecture category, while Yuktha K took home the top prize in the Interior Design category. Both winners will now have the opportunity to represent India at the AYDA International Finale, where they will compete against finalists from 17 other countries.
In addition to the individual awards, the AYDA Awards also recognized the Best Educational Institution, with RV College of Architecture in Bangalore taking home the top honor. The awards also recognized the Best Mentor, with Mr. Bakul Jani of RV College of Architecture and Mr. Zakia Fathima of the Faculty of Architecture at Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute in Chennai both being honored.
The 2024 AYDA Awards were judged by a panel of esteemed architects and interior designers, including Ar. Rudraksh Charan, Ar. Anup Naik and Ar. Pavitra Sriprakash. The panel also included representatives from Nippon Paint, including Mr. Mahesh Anand, President of the company's Decorative Division.
The AYDA Awards were first launched by Nippon Paint in 2008, and the program has since expanded to include participants from 16 countries. The awards are part of the company's broader efforts to support and nurture young design talent, with a focus on providing mentorship, cross-learning opportunities and networking with industry leaders.
