PPG has announced the extension of its sponsorship with the Tasca Racing team for the 2025 drag racing season. The company will continue to support the team’s PPG Nitro Mustang Dark Horse Funny Car, which will be on the track for four events this year. This includes three races in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.
The PPG Nitro Mustang Funny Car will make its first appearance of the season at the PRO Superstar Shootout, taking place from February 6-8 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. The car will also compete in the NHRA Gatornationals, NHRA New England Nationals and the Virginia NHRA Nationals.
Tasca Racing is led by team owner and driver Bob Tasca III, who will be behind the wheel of the PPG Nitro Mustang Funny Car. The team is set to run the full schedule in the NHRA Nitro Funny Car division, with the PPG logo prominently displayed on the car.
In addition to its sponsorship of the Tasca Racing team, PPG also has a longstanding partnership with the Tasca Automotive Group. The company’s Automotive Refinish business supplies the Tasca Automotive Group with its PPG Envirobase High Performance paint system.
PPG’s continued support for the Tasca Racing team is part of the company’s broader strategy to promote its brand and products through motorsports.
