Clariant is transitioning to a completely PFAS-free additive portfolio, making it the first company in the industry to do so. The company’s new portfolio includes a range of PFAS-free solutions, such as the Ceridust 8170 M texturing agent and the AddWorks PPA line of polymer processing aids. These solutions have been specifically developed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly products.

The transition to a PFAS-free portfolio is a significant milestone for Clariant, as the company looks to align with upcoming global regulations. PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a group of chemicals that have been linked to a range of environmental and health concerns. As a result, many countries are implementing stricter regulations on the use of PFAS in various products.

By eliminating PFAS from its entire additive portfolio, Clariant is able to meet these regulatory requirements. The company’s PFAS-free solutions are designed to offer the same level of performance as their PFAS-containing counterparts, while also providing a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative.

In addition to its current PFAS-free portfolio, Clariant is also planning to expand its range of sustainable products in the coming years. The company has set a target to launch a new portfolio of sustainable innovations by 2025.
